Serviced Plants Product Tracking

Serviced Plants Product Tracking 7.7 Update - Plant Service Product Caleb

This feature enables your crews to track the actual amount of product .e.g. inventory used per plant. Before this feature we calculated the estimated product amount per plant, but didn’t give the capability for your crew to track the actual amount of product used per plant. Now the estimated amount of quantity required (assuming you have setup inventory calculations) will become the estimated and actual product required for the plant. Additionally, whenever your crews enter an actual amount it will automatically update the amount of product for the service resource, which saves time for your crew and enables your production managers to know the exact amount of product used on the plant. Updating the actual amount will also dynamically update the mixture amount.

While implementing this feature we further enhanced the design of the Plant Service Detail on the Mobile Crew by easily enabling your crews to see the estimated and actual amount of product required for the service and the specific plant. As mentioned above the actual amount of product for the service resource will dynamically be updated whenever your crew updates the amount per plant.

What’s next? Well presuming we are tracking the amount of product used per plant you're likely going to want to see that via reporting. We will be adding a Serviced Plant Inventory Product Usage report to the business reports section soon.

Example - Injection - Tree-age (high rate)

An Injection Tree-age (high rate) service has associated three plants.

For the Tree-age service 1,687.5 ml of mixture is required for all plants.

From the plant info window you will be able to see the product breakdown per tree and enter the actual amount of product used. Note: You will only be able to add the plant service product usage after the service has been scheduled. Additionally, the service resource actual qty will only be displayed after the service has been scheduled.

From the Mobile Crew your crews will be able to see this from both the listing and the plant inventory info window, which is demonstrated next.

On the Mobile Crew clicking the “3 Trees” you will be able to see the plants associated with the service. These plants are known as “Plant Services,” or “Serviced Plants.”

Whenever the specific Plant is selected from this view it will show the Plant Service Detail, which displays service related information and breaks down the product required for the serviced plant.

The estimated amount of quantity required (assuming you have setup inventory calculations) will become the estimated and actual product required for the plant on Add. This saves your crew’s time from having to enter in the amount of product. If it does vary, then they could change and or enter the actual qty that they used.

The “On plants” refers to the total amount of actual product used across all the plants associated with the service. Whenever your crews enter an actual amount it will automatically update the amount of product for the service resource. Therefore, the “On plants” and service resource actual amount should always be the same, unless you manually change it from within the service resource view.

Notice after adding the product used for the plant the edit button appears instead of the add icon.

As mentioned above in this enhancement version of 7.7 we improved the plant service detail. The inventory mixture breakdown can be accessed via the purple chemical button.

An additional note Both Updating and Adding Product to a Serviced Plant will be logged in the activity log.
