What each job status means and how to distinguish between them
In arborgold there are jobs and there are services. Jobs contain zero to many services, and contain certain job status. Below are the definitions of job statuses.
Generated - this typically means that the job has either been copied from another job or renewed from another job. Generated status jobs are not eligible for job automation follow ups on the Enterprise Level.
Proposal - this is the default job status when creating a new job, this means the client has yet to accept the work, when a client signs the E-proposal the job status moves to work order automatically. Note that the job bid on date represents the date the job was first created. Only jobs in proposal are added to the marketing follow-ups.
Declined - this means the client has declined the job from E-proposal, or they have refused the work verbally and we have changed the job status to reflect that. Note the declined date in the job details section is the date the job was marked declined , and Declined Reason can also be selected.
Work Order - this means the services on the job are ready to be scheduled, and the customer that the job is for agrees to having the work done. E-proposal signing and accepting by the customer changes the job status from proposal to workorder. Note that the job accepted date is the date the job was moved to work order status.
Completed - a job typically gets marked complete when all services have been either marked complete or invoiced. Jobs do not automatically get marked completed.
Cancelled - a job can get cancelled for various reasons, the job cancelled date is the day the job was moved to cancelled, and cancelled reason can be selected in the job details tab.
Hold - a job can be put on hold for various reasons, preventing the services from being scheduled. Hold date is marked the day the job is put into hold and a hold reason can be selected.
