How to Customize Your Columns in the Jobs Tab

Customizing Columns in the Jobs Tab on Arborgold

Customizing columns in Arborgold’s Jobs tab lets you focus on the most important job details and save your preferred layout. This step-by-step guide walks you through updating, reordering, and saving column views.

Step 1: Accessing the Jobs Tab

Start by navigating to the Jobs tab. You'll see all your jobs listed under categories such as proposal, decline, work order completed, canceled, and more.

Step 2: Understanding Column Customization

Columns highlighted with a gray strip are available for customization. These let you tailor the visible data to fit your workflow.

Step 3: Editing Columns (Locating and Using the Column Selector)

To begin customizing, find the square icon next to the eyeball on the top right. Select this icon to open your column customization options.

Click the square icon and choose Columns from the dropdown. The list displays all available fields. Some, like Importance, Job, and Site Address, might already be selected.

Step 4: Adding, Removing, and Reordering Columns

- To add a new column: Scroll through the list and check the field you want (e.g., 'Job Tags'). - To remove a column: Uncheck the desired field. - To reorder: Click and drag your column selection into the position you prefer—for example, place Job Tags between Job and Site Address.

Step 5: Saving and Loading Column Layouts

After arranging your columns, click the eyeball icon at the top right to save your layout.

Choose Add New Layout from the dropdown.

Name your new layout and hit save.

To load your saved layout later, use the eyeball icon again and select your layout from the list.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) about Customizing Columns in the Arborgold Jobs Tab

1. How do I restore the default column layout in the Jobs tab? Look for a “Reset Columns” or “Restore Defaults” option in the column customization panel or settings. Selecting this returns columns to Arborgold’s default setup and removes your customizations.

2. Why aren’t my column changes being saved? Ensure you click “Save” or “Apply” after arranging your columns. If changes still don’t save, try clearing your browser cache, disabling extensions, or verify your user permissions with your Arborgold administrator.

3. Are custom column layouts user-specific or shared across the organization? Custom column layouts are generally user-specific, so your changes only affect your view. Other users keep their layouts unless an administrator sets a global layout for everyone. Check with your administrator for your organization’s policy.
